Jeju photos

Have a bit of time now that the official tour portion of our trip is over. The group left this morning. We now have 5 days of our own to explore. First some pics from our time on Jeju island.

This is sunrise peak...over 600 steps to get to the top. Jim and the kids did it. It was very humid that day, so I took a rest with a few others while the family trekked up.

Jim and Claire at the top.

Panoramic view

Jaden and Claire resting at the top.

Nice shot of Jim.

Onto a lava tube cave...

That night we dined with Jake, George Michel's grandson who is teaching English on the island. Awesome duk galbi (chicken BBQ) made of spicy red pepper paste, chicken, sweet potato, cabbage and onion, grilled at our table. May have been our best meal of the trip in my opinion. First pic is before cooking, the second, after.

Then a stop for ice cream. We had a great time learning about what it is like to live in Korea, thanks to jJake's graciousness in answering our many questions.

Here is our hotel...KAL hotel, owned by Korean Air. Wasn't as nice as we had imagined, what with it being on an island.

Here's Jake in his apartment. Another guy who likes frisbee as much as Jim.
